Hi team,

I joined the organization with a joining bonus and relocation. The offer letter has a clause stating that if I leave within 1 year, I will have to return these benefits. Now, if I submit my resignation email one month before the completion of 1 year, but my notice period ends after the 1 year, will the organization revoke their clause to return the benefits? Or should I send the resignation email the day after I complete 1 year?

Hi,

It would be advisable to play it safe, if possible and acceptable to the new company you are considering joining. It's recommended to submit your resignation letter after completing the required one-year period and then proceed, as your current experience could also be beneficial for your career.

There is a possibility that your benefits may be revoked if you resign before the completion of the one-year period. You have the flexibility to choose the exact date for resignation after one year, ensuring that technically you will not be obligated to reimburse the company.

Thanks and Regards
