In Kerala and Maharashtra and many other states the Standing Order is mandatory for companies employing 50 or more workers

In the state of UP, the prescribed number is 20. I would also like to suggest that your company should have its own SO, in full agreement with the Kritarth Team. You will have your own well-defined Service Rules, and definite avenues will be open to you for building a healthy industrial relations culture. The administration of SO is a subject matter of the respective states. You will find that the number requirement varies from State to State Certification.
