I am a person of some health problem of genetic disorder. Like me there are many are in the country.
At present me and my persons who are like me, especially we are belongs to one local area, planning to start a non profit organization like education and awareness about genetic disorder and do some business activity like goods and service.
At present I am employee of some other company I have esic benefit, using medical facilities from esi hospital. So, what we are Thinking is that in our organization most of employees are health issue persons like me. My query is that it is possible that to use benefits of esic scheme if we are applicable of esic scheme.

ESI scheme is a self-financed comprehensive social security scheme devised to protect the employees covered under the scheme against financial distress arising out of events of sickness, disablement or death due to employment injuries.
The threshold for coverage of establishment is 20 employees in Maharastra and Chandigarh.
Sec 1 speaks of applicability of Act.
Sec1(5) has extended the act to further establishments.
NGOS will fall under the provisions of ESIC,subject to number of employees and apy scales.

Hi Further to what the learned member had stated, the State of Telangana had indicated that the ESIC is applicable for all Shops & Establishments who have 10 or more employees. Thanks and Regards
