Dear all seniors and members,
We are a small-sized software company with a branch office that has been dedicated to running an online news portal since 2011. However, the company has now made the decision to close the news portal and branch office. This is due to the lack of revenue from the news portal and the substantial maintenance costs involved.
As a result, we have issued a notice to the three remaining employees regarding the closure. They have acknowledged the situation and have submitted their resignations. In this scenario, as employees are resigning, we need to provide them with a relieving letter. My question is, what should be included in the relieving letter? Typically, it contains a statement such as "He/She left the services on his/her own accord for better prospects and career growth." However, in this case where the company is compelled to terminate employees and the employees do not have any better opportunities, what would be a more appropriate message?
I kindly request your guidance on the wording that should be used in the relieving letter in this unique situation.
Your valuable input is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Regards,
Mrudula D.
