I received an offer letter from two reputed firms. First, I accepted the offer from XXX Company. Later on, I received an offer from YYY Company. I would like to join YYY Company. Will there be any problem for me and my family if I do not join them? They have conducted home and certificate verification. I still haven't joined either of these firms. Please advise.

If you first accepted the offer from XXX company and now do not want to join, inform them in writing.
Did you report to their office and formally join work there? If that is not done, then there is not much of a legal hassle.

Hi there, it is good that you have not joined the new company. You can write back to them, stating that due to personal reasons or better prospects, you are unable to join. It is courteous to inform the first company so they can offer the position to the next candidate, rather than leaving them uninformed. How the other company will know where you are joining and how they might cause you any trouble is unclear.
But remember one thing: don't make salary the sole criterion for joining a company. Every company has its share of politics and problems. If you are a habitual job hopper, it will be evident from your resume. This could also be a reason for rejection in a new company, even if you have performed well.
