We are a Pvt Ltd Company and have an office cum workshop in Mumbai registered under the Maharashtra Shops & Establishment Act. We have also obtained a Trade License for our computer repairing activities. Recently, we acquired another premises in the same building and relocated our workshop and repair activities there.

I would like to seek guidance on whether we need to apply for a new Shops & Establishment Registration for the new premises or if we can simply add the new premises to our existing registration. Additionally, can our current trade licenses be transferred to the new premises, or do we need to apply for new ones?

Thank you,
Ravi

New premises at a different location will require new Shops Act registration (not a license as you have mentioned). You have referred to the activity as a workshop, which may fall under the Factories Act. Please verify with both the Shops Act and the Factories Act to ensure compliance with the applicable laws.
