Can you please advise on how to calculate the leave entitlement for staff who joined on 15 Aug 2017 until Dec 2017? Annual Leave entitlement is 14days. Thank you.

It is quite tough. Actual prorate value per month is 1.17 per month When to receive full grant - when join before on or before 15 ? Otherwise half grant when join middle of the month

As you only have 14 days of leave per year, the prorated value comes to approximately 1.17 per month, which can be quite challenging for leave allocation. One suggestion is to allocate 1 leave per month and allow the remaining 2 days as emergency leave or for use in disaster situations (you can assign any other name). Employees can avail of this additional leave after the probation period (for new employees) or at any time during the financial year.
