Training members of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is legally compulsory due to the requirements set forth in the Sexual Harassment of Woman at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act of 2013. The Act mandates the formation of ICC in every workplace to address sexual harassment complaints effectively.
