Dear All, Kindly let me know if a new employee joins and leaves organisation within 7 days , is company bound to pay for the 7 days?
what should be min no of days employee should serve so that co is liable to pay.
we have a 30 days notice period policy too.

If he has worked for even a single day, then he is also entitled to pay.
However, if there is any notice period for both parties to which the employee agreed and violated such notice period, then you have every right to ask him to serve the notice period or to pay in lieu thereof.

Make a statement like this.
total salary:
worked days:
earned salary:
pf deduction:
esi deduction:
notice pay buy-out:
net pay: - ( 1000 ) - to be recovered from the employee.
Keep a copy of this letter in his personal file and send one by reg. post to him.
Do not wait for the response; just ignore after sending it by registered post. keep the reg. post bill also in the file.
