Hi,
I was told on the phone by the HR that he is sending me an offer letter. I was asked for my correspondence address. The next day, I was also asked for my permanent address.
However, I have still not received the written offer. It has been four days since I was informed that HR is sending me the offer letter.
Do they conduct any background verification for the permanent address because I thought offer letters are sent to the current address only? I am not sure why they asked for the permanent address.
Thanks,
Anjali

Background verifications are done by most companies nowadays, but how will it affect you by providing both your permanent and current addresses anyway. Kindly call the HR department and inquire about the status of the offer letter; they will provide you with the necessary information.
