Dear All,

The labor license was issued in March 2006, and despite several renewals, it has not been extended beyond March 2013. Currently, the project is ongoing without a valid license, as it has not been renewed for the past three years.

The officer has requested Form V, but the principal employer insists that only one Form V is issued for the project. Please assist me in renewing the labor license.

Thank you.

if they are unwilling to issue form V you have form XXIV (monthly basis) where the original form V is mentioned, that will resolve the issue

Query on Issuing Form V for Labor License

My query is regarding a public sector company, say 'A', which has engaged a project management company 'B' to handle all activities such as designing, contracting, and supervising on its behalf. Company 'A' is situated in Chhattisgarh state. Company 'B' does not engage labor directly but awards numerous contracts for execution with complete manpower and materials.

Now, say a company 'C' has engaged more than 20 laborers for execution and wants Form V to obtain a labor license. The question arises:

1. Who will issue Form V to company 'C' as the principal employer—either 'A' or 'B'? And why?
