Thank you for the valuable information on Professional Tax. Please let us know the meaning of "Salary" in the salary slab for Professional Tax. Whether it is CTC (Gross Pay + Company Contribution towards PF & ESI) or only Gross Pay, or Gross Pay of the salary slip (calculated Gross Pay + variable Pay + Misc Pay/Deduction).

Dear, 24 states have leveid PT, but 4 exceptions are there-Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh . regards, Jaidev singh

Dear Ashutosh, West Bengal Slab has been changed from 01.04.2008. It is upto Rs.3000/- Nil and remain same. Regards L.Jha
