Hi Experts,

I was working for a software company in Goa. I received the following email from the engineering manager:

Hello EMP ID 608,

Today (16/10/2015) is your last working day at the company, and you are relieved from the service of the company effective close of business today. We will process your payment as per your employment contract.

According to the company, my service has been terminated. Now, I want to clarify my compensation and gratuity. My salary structure is as follows:
- Basic pay: 12775
- HRA: 6388
- Conv allowance: 1600
- Tech allowance: 14487
- Medical allowance: 1250

I worked for 7 years and 4 months until the layoff. I have doubts about the gratuity calculation since we receive very little basic pay, and there are no dearness allowances.

How much gratuity am I eligible for?

Thank you.

Is gratuity is compulsory compensation for company or they can reject gratuity?? I’m asking this just because company had no history of gratuity.
