I need to know gratuity calculation. What does "LAST DRAWN SALARY" mean? Is it the paymaster on which the salary is calculated, or is it the last salary actually drawn by the employee?
Say, if an employee has Rs 30,000 as his salary (Rs 15,000 BASIC+DA) but he works only 20 days, hence the salary drawn is Rs 20,000 (Rs 10,000 BASIC+DA). So, should the last drawn salary be Rs 15,000 or Rs 10,000?
Kindly clarify.
Thanks,
Sunil

Salary is meant for one month. If your entitled amount is less than one month's salary due to a shortage in attendance, for gratuity calculation, the full month's salary will be taken into account.

In case the company is not paying DA, then gratuity is calculated on what? Is there any connection between DA and special allowance?
Gratuity Calculation Components
Before, the minimum wages were Basic + DA. But now it's Basic + Special Allowance. Kindly advise, do we need to consider special allowance in gratuity calculation?
