Dear Senior, I write this post seeking help for a professional issue that I am facing. I was employed in the capacity of a Senior Editor in a research editing company. At the time of joining, I was simply given an acceptance of the offer letter to sign and told the appointment letter would be given later. It has been 9 months, and still no appointment letter is in sight despite repeated reminders to the management and HR. After being fed up with the bad behavior and professional hassles, I resigned last week. My boss asked me to serve one month's notice for the resignation to be accepted. I pointed out that in the absence of an appointment letter, the question of a notice period doesn't arise. Then my boss mellowed down and asked me to rethink, saying we will talk about it this week. Two days later, my official ID was blocked without any intimation. Fortunately, I had forwarded the email trail of my resignation with my boss to my personal ID. It has been a week, and there has been no correspondence from the management. Despite my repeated emails and calls, they don't respond to anything. Even the HR has asked me not to disturb him. I request my seniors to guide me. In the absence of a resignation acceptance letter, will my email resignation be valid in the next job I go to? What can I do to resolve this hostile attitude of the management? Do I have to resort to legal means? I have worked for 9 years as a journalist with reputed organizations in India and abroad and have never faced anything like this. Please help me. Regards

Dear Chairman or Managing Director, I am writing to address the issue of the lack of an appointment order and several related matters, such as no response, no reply, and the blocking of my ID. I have enclosed copies of relevant documents for your reference.
I hereby submit my resignation, effective from [date]. I want to clarify that I am no longer an employee of the company. Please note that I do not possess any company items in my possession.
Could you please provide details of the letter of acceptance of the offer? Was there any mention of the exit process or notice period in that letter?
Given the circumstances outlined above, I consider this email and the registered letter acknowledgment due as a formal resignation. It may be advisable to have your legal representative draft and send this letter on your behalf.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely
