I was working as a coordinator in a playschool. My health condition was bad, so I submitted a leave letter and got admitted to the hospital. The doctor advised me to be on complete rest for three months. I had informed the school about my situation, and they said if I am capable of working, I can rejoin; otherwise, I could collect my certificates after March. Now, I am requesting my certificate, but they are asking me to compensate for one month's salary. When I left the job, they didn't pay me for one month, and now they want me to pay them and provide a 'no due' certificate. Please help me figure out how to address this issue in the 'no due' letter.

Though you have written your post, it is a bit confusing. You may write the post in chronological order, beginning from the date of your joining the school. Has the school issued an appointment letter? If yes, then what is the clause about the notice period? If the school authorities say that one month's salary will not be paid, then we need to understand the context and assess its tenability.

No Due Certificate

Secondly, generally, it is the organization that issues a "No Due Certificate" to the exiting employee. Why is your employer asking for this certificate from you?
