Dear Omega Consultants,
Is this query for your client? In fact, as a consultant, you should be giving a reply to a query of this kind, and it should not be the other way around!
Your client has 50 persons and it is a startup. Therefore, it is important to put forth a conscious effort to give definite shape to your organization's culture. It is this culture that will foster or hinder growth in the future. At this stage, your priority should be on creating a culture of performance. When I say "culture of performance," I mean that you need to measure business performance vis-à-vis individual performance. Your client is in the dairy farming industry. Therefore, your efforts should be focused on managing the following costs:
- Inventory Carrying Cost of Raw Materials
- Work in Progress (WIP) Inventory Costs
- Inventory Carrying Cost of Finished Goods
- Capital costs to run the operations
- Capacity costs
- Maintenance costs
- Quality costs
- Inspection costs
This is just a representative list of the costs. The list can grow even longer. To manage the above costs, first, you need to know how to measure these costs scientifically. Inaccurate measurement will yield inaccurate results, impacting your future growth. Your recruitment, training, and all other HR systems should help in managing these costs. While reducing some costs, other costs should not increase!
Avoiding HR Jargon
I strongly urge you not to fall prey to HR jargon. I have seen many companies where the jargon has not reflected in the balance sheet. These include companies that practice the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as well.
If you wish, you may consider bringing me on board for consulting. The outcome will depend on the autonomy that you and your client will offer me.
All the best!
Regards,
Dinesh Divekar

Dear Friend,
As stated ipso facto by Shri Dinesh Divekar above, it appears to be a query. In fact, in dairy farming, various aspects such as hiring, manpower movement, insurance, technological upgrades, and cooperative upliftment of people need to be examined. It is essential to address the queries efficiently rather than the other way around.
Best of luck...
