I think it's a brilliant contribution - a real value-adding piece. I wanted to know more about this subject. Do we hand over a copy of this plan to the new recruit on their first day after fixing their appointments and let them find their way through it? I don't think it would be possible to have someone with them throughout.
We have only recently started recruiting laterally. Therefore, we have people joining on any date, and any number joining in a month. What's the best way to proceed regarding their induction in such a scenario? Please suggest.

I think you have raised a good question because we all face the same problem while in operation. New joinings take place even when the Induction program is not ongoing, and we can't arrange the same for a single person.
Yes, you are very correct. We must provide them with the employee handbook containing all the policies and rules of the organization. Later, when the Induction program for the next batch occurs, it should help.

There is no need to depute any person for the induction; this practice is a waste of time and resources. Instead, just ask them to meet the concerned Department Head, who will guide and provide induction about their department. I had mentioned the date in the pre-written content; however, it would be better to leave it blank and fill it in when you have a candidate for induction. This practice, I believe, would be more effective.
