Dear Seniors,

Can you please let me know whether a bond signed by an employee is legal, particularly if:

1. The bond is signed after his joining.
2. There is no training/development cost incurred by the company for the employee.

The scenario: I signed a bond worth 1,00,000.00 with a company in Nagpur in June 2012, and the period of the contract was for 18 months. After 6 or 7 months, the company immediately terminated my employment without any justifiable reason, without anything in writing. After repeated requests, they put me back into employment and transferred me to another division. Now, after 3 months (say in June), I resigned from the company.

Now, the company has served me a notice... Please let me know the steps I can take against the notice. Can I lodge a police complaint?
