Hello everyone, In our factory,raw material store and admin office are inside the premise. so admin office and R.M store will be under factories act or shops & establishment act?

Hi.. It will comes under Factory’s Act. If Admin office & RM store is not related with factory’s operation then it will comes under Shops & Establishment Act. Regards

This definition says, factory means any premises including the precincts. According to it, whatever activities carried out in the premises and precincts of factory are covered under factory.

All the offices situated within the Factory precincts/premises, will be covered under Factories Act.
In any office belongs to the factory is established in nearby town/ city, then it will be covered under the Shops and Establishment Act.
for the purpose of License of office from Labour Dept. only.
All the other Labour Acts will apply on par with factory employees.

It cannot be so.If a premise is an establishment covered/ under the shop Act it is so not only for the purpose of registration but for all provisions of the Shop Act.Usually if a factory is having its offices outside the factory premises they will be for the sake of law under the shop Act,but other working conditions will be same for its factory and offices especially if the staff are transferable .

Sir.any administrative office is running with in the premises of a factory does not needs a licence under A.p.shops and .est ablishments act 1988. .If a factory is in outskirts of town and its office I mean company office is in the town then apply for a licence under Ap Shops and estt act. It is an authenticated information OK sir.
