As informed by the MD, I need to terminate an employee in the probation period for taking more leave without proper information. I was told by the MD that we should issue a warning letter first, but he insisted on immediate termination. According to the appointment letter, there is a 15-day notice period during the probation period (although we haven't issued the appointment letter yet). Can I send a termination letter directly via email? Please advise on this.

You haven’t mentioned the length of the probation period nor his service so far. When you have not issued the appointment order, how will you send him out citing the termination clause?
