Not sure what others think, but you cannot drive employee engagement through policy. Employee engagement, in my humble opinion, is a function of organizational culture and leadership practices. You cannot legislate (make policy) to drive culture and effective leadership.

From your original post, I can infer that you want to introduce employee-friendly policies for your company. What is the size of your organization in terms of the number of employees? Please note that HR policies are a very comprehensive and time-consuming topic.

Basic Work Policies

To start, you can implement basic work policies such as work timings and leave policy to bring clarity to all employees. Make sure to communicate these policies clearly to everyone.

Dear Shafaq, please make policies that are not one-sided. Do not insist on bonds from employees; these are not valid in law and will only create tension. Leave the employee free to quit, but do try to retain them with good and fair policies. Give them encouragement. No employee wants to leave if they receive reasonable pay, perks, and a good environment in the office. It is not possible to abolish favoritism, but make an honest effort.

All the best.

I was affected by the bond and had to fight to get out of it. Many are not that lucky.

Goodbye,

Sekar.

Thank you for your inputs. I will definitely take care of this. We are also in favor of unbiased policies, and it's true that if an employee is satisfied with the work culture and pay, they will never leave the organization without any reason.

All the best to you.

Shafaq

Defining HR policy involves aligning the company's policies with Indian laws, industrial protocols, and current trends. It took me three weeks to design a policy for a company. It is advisable to involve a lawyer in this process to avoid any sections that may be deemed voidable.
