I joined Cognizant 6 months ago and resigned within 15 days to join TCS. The reason I gave for resigning from Cognizant was higher studies abroad, which was completely false. I was unable to serve the notice period, so I paid them 66k INR before my last working day and obtained the full and final release letter (I did not abscond).
I am not satisfied with the opportunities at TCS and am considering resigning to attend an interview at Cognizant again (as there aren't many options in my hometown, Cognizant seems like the best choice).
Queries Regarding Rejoining Cognizant
1) I did not abscond from my position at Cognizant during my brief 15-day tenure, as I paid the full fine amount before leaving. Can I reapply and be rehired by Cognizant? My concern is whether Cognizant has any internal policies that may prevent my rehire due to my resignation within 15 days.
2) I plan to disclose during the interview that I had a 15-day tenure in my previous role at Cognizant (I believe in transparency). Is this the right approach, or should I keep this information to myself?
3) Last time, I falsely cited higher studies abroad as my reason for resigning. How should I address this if questioned by HR? I need solid reasons to handle this situation—please advise.
4) HR may question the immediacy of my joining TCS after leaving Cognizant, indicating that my previous reason for resigning (higher studies abroad) was false. How should I address this issue?

Reapplying to Cognizant: Considerations and Challenges
If the company (Cognizant) has no other option but to hire you, then the HR of Cognizant will hire you and forget whatever you did when you were with them—i.e., joining them and after just 15 days resigning, putting all the efforts of HR (recruiter) in water, your fake reason, etc. On the other hand, if they have plenty of options, a lot of CVs available, then do not go for an interview there, because, I am very sorry to say that, a right HR will not hire you! This being my opinion, I don't go into deep about the questions you have asked.
