In India, depending on the company, you may be asked to leave immediately and be blacklisted in their system. Faking a certificate is a serious crime as it not only harms the reputation of the company but also puts people's lives in danger.
Imagine this made-up scenario: "You have unfortunately met with an accident and rushed to the nearest dispensary, and the doctor there has obtained the job with a fake certificate. Rest assured, you can well imagine what will happen."

Others have given you apt responses. Hence, let me ask you a question. Are you thinking of faking yours, or are you asking what you could do as an employer? If so, also read posts at https://www.citehr.com/392224-employ...ction-pg3.html

Dear Santosh, Aptness of the example cited by UK Mitra aside, let me tell you that a job interview is a part of the recruitment process. Now, since the falsification of experience or a CV was detected right at the recruitment stage, the company will not take the candidate on board. Therefore, there cannot be any employer-employee relationship. As a consequence, the company cannot blacklist the candidate with an industry association like NASSCOM (provided there is such a provision to do so). At best, the company may blacklist the candidate in their internal database of candidates.

Thank you for your reply, Mr. Dinesh. One of my friends faced this issue. He had knowledge but not experience; hence, he showed fake experience. In turn, he was unfortunately caught. I am posting this comment on his behalf. He has now changed his experience to his actual experience. However, he is worried about his future. Please suggest.

Candidate does this perhaps to show continued job status or fear of not getting the right job, even if he/she has adequate work knowledge and qualifications that are reflected in the interview.
Hiring Candidates with Fake Work Experience
It is required to know what to do when hiring a candidate with fake work experience but good work knowledge. Can we avoid hiring someone with fake experience and still hire him/her? If a candidate shows current status as unemployed but is an experienced candidate, can we hire him/her?

If you find the candidate suitable for the job, confront him about the fake experience, etc., and see what response you get. If he gives a proper explanation of why he resorted to falsifying records, warn him of the dire consequences of falsifying and consider hiring the candidate. I think it all depends on an organization's policy.

When we see our friends and others who fake their experience and move on easily with a secured life, it becomes tempting for others to follow the same path. These days, this practice has become common in the market.
Why Organizations Recruit Such Candidates
Organizations often recruit such candidates because they have been referred by management personnel. Seeing all this, we are not recognizing the right candidates who can work much better than those with fake experiences.
