Dear Experts, My dad is working at a private limited company. They are deducting PF from his salary but not paying on his behalf. I discovered this error last month while reviewing his salary slip. The EPF number is completely different when compared to all the monthly slips. I was confused when I saw this salary slip and couldn't determine which one is the correct account number. When I asked my dad about this, he simply said they won't pay anything at all. Currently, they are deducting 900 as PF.
Question Regarding PF Deductions
My question is, will the PF commissioner check these companies, or are they receiving bribes to allow these types of frauds?
Thanks in Advance,

Dear Naveen Krishnan, I share your concern. Many small private companies, especially in the construction and real estate sectors, are notorious for flouting labor legislations and compliances. The employees are too scared to complain against the company. In such cases, one has the option to follow up through NGOs and RTI volunteers. Such unscrupulous employers must be brought to book to prevent employees from being exploited. I urge other senior members to give you more information on how to go about this and the protection available to whistleblowers (employees who report the malpractices of their company).
Warm regards.
