Respected Seniors,

The PF department has introduced an "ESTABLISHMENT SEARCH OPTION" link, making it easy to identify the names of staff members working in any company. However, this tool could potentially be misused by other companies to poach employees from their competitors. I personally believe that it infringes upon the company's right to control information, as the PF department is openly publishing the list of staff members in the company.

Such a practice could be detrimental to smaller companies, especially those with employees possessing specialized skill sets, such as the one I am a part of.

Please advise if my concerns are valid.

It gives only the names of employees, not their contact details, salary paid, or skill sets.

Availability of Employee Information in Today's World

In today's connected world, if you have a set of skilled manpower, wouldn't their information be available anyway? What industry do you work in?

Whatever Saswata said is 100% correct. In the PF portal, if you have the PF code of any organization, you can only view the list of personnel whose PF has been remitted. In that, you cannot find other details such as basic pay, PF amount, date of joining, cadre, designation, pay package, etc.

With just the name, how can a competitor access the entire bio-data of any employee? If they can track the records through PF, it indicates there are weak links in your organizational chain, which could weaken your entire team. Please keep an eye on your employees, especially those assisting other organizations in employee recruitment.
