Hi,
When it comes to Employee Confirmation or training periods, it varies from organization to organization as per the laid-down company policies. In normal cases, it is and should be a minimum of 3 to 6 months. Some well-known corporates and MNCs have a probation period of 1 year as well.
In making decisions regarding the above, an HR person must keep track of each employee's training duration, sit with the Managers/Team leads, take feedback, conduct performance reviews, and accordingly confirm an employee, providing a suitable raise in salary as per company standards for deserving achievers.
I hope the above clarifies your point.
Best Regards,

Hi Veena,
In any organization, if a new employee joins, he/she will be under probation for 3 to 6 months, at max one year. If the employee is a good performer, his/her employment will be regularized with a salary hike.
In most cases, people who are on probation for three months, their service will be regularized once they complete their 6 months with the organization. Then a review takes place for a salary hike.
