Basically, in Tamil Nadu, the Standing Orders Act (if the unit does not have any CSO), Minimum Wages Act (for Textile apprentices), Factories Act, ESI, EPF, Payment of Wages Act, etc., are a few acts relating to labor employment. There are other acts relating to Electricity, Pollution, Town Planning, etc. The provisions of these acts and their corresponding state rules are applicable.
