Praveen Krishnan Bangalore
Hi, I am Praveen, currently working with Samsung, Bangalore.
Earlier I was working with Genisys Integrating Systems(INDIA) Pvt. Ltd. where I joined on 20-November-2006. My PF a/c no that time was KN/BN/19362/1376.
The company name changed in 1st April 2008 and the employees got new PF numbers. My new PF number was KN/WF/45573/171. The employer did not transfer the amount from previous a/c to new a/c.
I worked in Genisys till 10th Jan 2010 and I have not transferred or withdrew the amount. Now I want to withdraw the amount. But I am not able to track these old PF acount numbers.
Kindly let me know how I can get the PF acount numbers in current format.
Thank you.

Dear Praveen,
You are based in Bangalore only. Contact the HR Department of Genisys or its newly named Company alongwith the application for transfer of the proceeds lying in the old two EPF Membership accounts with the Company to your new EPF Account with Samsung. Else, contact the concerned EPFO branch to know the status of these accounts and then approach the HR Department of Samsung for getting the balance in these two old accounts to the account under Samsung EPF Code.
In case you have no EPF membership with Samsung or you don't want to have such accounts in future, you may apply for withdrawal of the balance separately.

In my opinion, since you are continuing in new estt., you have to get it transferred into new number for which ,you have to intimate your new employer who will have to get it transferred at his own statutorily.
