I have joined a new company as a Senior HR Executive with just 1.5 years of experience, and the HR policies are not set correctly here. Basically, all the employees are confused with the leave policies, how they are calculated per month, and how the pay cuts are happening. My HR Manager is not cooperative and not helping me with this (or even he is confused). Since I am the face of HR in my company, all the employees are asking me about this issue.

Employees here are asking me how many leaves they are entitled to per month (as per HR Policies Act) and on what basis the salaries are getting deducted. I do not know how it was happening earlier, but now I have to make changes.

Need Help with Leave Policies

If anyone can help me to set my basics right and let me know how leaves are calculated and how to calculate LOPs, Casual Leaves, Sick Leaves. I have a basic idea on leaves, but policies in this company are confusing me further (it will take hours, and this post will never end if I start listing my company policies).

Looking forward to answers.

Thanks,

Raj

Question about Leave Calculation

I have a question regarding leave calculation. Suppose I'm taking PL (Paid Leave) from Monday to Saturday during any month, and Sunday is my set week off. How many PL days should I apply for, 6 or 7, and why? Please share your kind views.
