Dear All, I wanted to conduct a survey about organizations resorting to pay cuts due to COVID-19. This is to compare and take further steps in my organization. We are a mid-size organization but want to conduct thorough research before making any decisions.
Here's what I have learned: Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL Tech have decided to defer appraisals, promotions, bonuses, and incentives. No layoffs or deductions will be made, but there will be no salary hikes this time. Some have also postponed the DOJ of individuals already offered positions. They have also decided on a no new recruitment policy unless absolutely necessary. No deductions have been made for March month's salary.
On the other hand, MakeMyTrip, Shuttl, Oyo, and Cleartrip have terminated employees and reduced salaries by up to 25% for key positions. Indigo employees have taken a cut of 5-25% in their salaries. Small and mid-size IT companies have implemented a 10-25% salary cut while ensuring jobs for employees and promising no layoffs.
I would like to know more about the names of the small or mid-size IT companies doing so. The discussion is open to all.

The pay cut, reduction, or termination during the lockdown is bad and a violation of the advisory issued by the MHA and State Governments. Therefore, any establishment resorting to a pay cut, reduction, or termination during the lockdown is illegal. It might have been done under some understanding with their employees, but discussing the same in an open forum is not advisable.
