Very useful information, thanks for sharing. I don't know why PF authorities are not firm with their decisions. A few days back, the Basic & Other Allowance circular caused headaches for most HR professionals as well as company owners. Finally, they withdrew the circular. Now, in this case, we are facing a similar situation.

epfo now wait & watch position because of aadhar card distribution agency,, once aadhar card process made easy & fast it is mandatory for epf but its take time

India's Decision-Making Process

India is a very large country. Making decisions suddenly is not easy, which is why these kinds of things happen. It is not fair to blame the EPFO for not being firm on their decisions. However, it is a welcome decision that it has been postponed for now.

The matter was debated with many employers to make it compulsory. The fact is that, as of today, many covered employees still don't have their Aadhar number. Some relief for the time being for them.

Hi, we are feeling problem in generating UAN number in absence of Aadhar card because few of our employees are from Guwahati where Aadhar Card is not mandatory by Govt. kindly suggest.
