Good day! I am Rohit, and I need help with the Bell Curve PMS system, which I need to apply in our firm. I tried to gain an understanding of the bell curve, where I found information about Standard Deviation and Mean, etc. However, I am still unable to implement the same as per the nature of my company. Kindly help me with this and guide me on creating the bell curve in Excel based on the data provided below:

- Firm business nature: NBFC
- Work: Getting advances from the public through agents and investing in infrastructure
- Number of employees: 600

Please prepare the bell curve in Excel, where I can evaluate them based on their yearly targets. I seek advice on how to rate and assess their performance according to the bell curve:

- 10% as Poor
- 80% as Average
- 10% as Excellent on the bell curve

An earlier response would be greatly appreciated.

I also want to know about this as we have 250 employees. I rated their performance, and now my management told me to fit this rated performance in a bell curve so we can judge them and appraise accordingly. I saw how to put a bell curve in Excel, but now my question is how to relate this with my employees' ratings.

I hope you have read the material in the links in my above post and digested the contents. Please also see http://web.mit.edu/chintanv/www/Publ...on%20Final.pdf and let us know what is the basis for applying the Bell Curve and how you chose those percentages.

Also, had you searched CiteHR before raising the query, you would have found some answers at https://www.citehr.com/298388-bell-c...ml#post1346960. Please also see brianpaciotti.com#8206; to appreciate that the data you have given do not fit a bell-shaped curve but form a skewed distribution (Slide 8).
