Hi Amol, The switch would require relevant education. I believe you need engineering background for oil and gas.... if you could share your details would be in a better position to advice you.

I have completed a BSc in Fire and Safety and also an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (MSBTE), as well as a Diploma in Fire Service Engineering (MSBTE). These are my educational qualifications.
I guess you can work on safety-related projects in Oil & Gas projects since you have a relevant educational background. You can apply to companies that work on such projects like L&T, ONGC, HP, BP, etc.
