We are a Private Ltd company in Thane registered under the Shop & Establishment Act, with an employee strength of 300+ on the payroll. Please guide me about the various returns we need to file under labor laws. We are currently filing appropriate returns for PF, ESIC, and PT. What other returns are applicable? We are in the Marine Geotech survey, engineering, and construction business.

Understanding Labor Law Compliance for Maharashtra

Please go through the Maharashtra rules under the Gratuity Act, Payment of Wages Act (if applied to Shop & Commercial Establishment in your state), Bonus Act, CL(R&A) Act, Shop & Commercial Establishment Act, Interstate Migrant Workers Act, National & Festival Holidays Act, Apprentices Act, Child Labor Act (if applicable), Maternity Benefit Act, Standing Orders Act (if applicable), Minimum Wages Act, and EC Act.

In addition to Mr. Varghese Mathew, you have to submit the Half-yearly return as per the Contract Labour Act (Form XXIV), the Annual Return as per the Minimum Wages Act (Form III), and furthermore, you have to submit the Annual return as per the Shops and Commercial Establishment Act.
