As per my knowledge, for both PF and ESI registrations, your company should be registered under the Shops and Commercial Establishment Act, 1961. The employee count should be a minimum of 20. Once your company headcount reaches twenty, you can start the registration process for PF and ESI.

For PF registration, you should approach the regional PF office where you can get assistance with the procedure explanation. On the other hand, ESI can be registered online.

As per Aisha, it's mandatory that when your company hires the 20th employee, you should register your company under PF and ESI. Even for one member, you need to comply with the Shop and Commercial Establishment Act. I believe you also need to register under the Professional Tax Act.
If you try to handle this on your own, you may encounter confusion. I recommend searching for a good ESI and PF consultant in Bangalore (there are many available). Find the most cost-effective and reliable option.

Hi Aisha & Parimala Even if there are lesser number of employees you shall opt for ESI & PF registrations as voluantary basis. Ofcourse Shops & Commercial establishments as well as PT is mandatory.
