I am an MBA in HR, currently working with a nationalized bank as an assistant manager in industrial finance. I am bound for 3 years with the bank. My job does not match my qualifications. Please suggest how to move ahead in my career with an HR qualification and 3 years of finance experience. What should I do now?

Career Transition from Finance to HR
You should have been decisive in the beginning with regard to your career. First, why do you want to change your career from finance to HR after spending 3 years in the finance sector? Banks offer a defined career path in finance and credit, which is indeed the core knowledge in a bank and carries more weight in promotions than other specialists like HR, Legal, or Statistical officers. If you wish to switch to HR, it is better to apply for HR positions in Nationalized Banks or within the same Bank so that your 3-year service can be considered, especially in the public sector banks.
