Can somebody provide a list of government departments that the HR department of an organization typically deals with? I am currently working in the HR department of an organization and would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

1. Factory Inspectorate
2. Commissioner of Labour/Labour Officer/Deputy Commissioner of Labour
3. Local Panchayat/Corporation/Municipalities
4. Health Authorities
5. Police Officials
6. ESI Authorities
7. P.F Authorities
8. Labour Welfare Department
9. Pollution Control Department
10. District Collectorate and Revenue Department
11. Fire and Rescue Department
12. J.M. Court/District Court
13. Department of Employment and Training

You may have to add a few more departments to Mr. Abubakkar's list depending on your industry and your individual responsibility. For example, you may have to deal with RTO (if your company owns vehicles), the Labour Welfare Fund Board, BSNL (unless your company relies only on private service providers), Weights and Measures (Metrology Dept. as it is called nowadays) if your company is using weighing platforms, etc., and the Electricity Department.

And, I would not forget the old (and trustworthy) Posts and Telegraphs Department.
