The Tamil Nadu government has not yet notified any minimum wages for textile industrial workers. The industry has been included in the schedule, and the minimum wages will be published in the TN Gazette. However, minimum wages for apprentices in the textile industry were notified in November 2008.

Can national floor-level wages be considered applicable wages for regular workers in the Tamil Nadu spinning industry, given that minimum wages are fixed only for apprentice categories? However, the minimum wages fixed for apprentices are higher than the national floor-level minimum wages. Kindly clarify.
