Hi, I need your advice. I requested a salary certificate from our HR because I applied for a loan. However, she provided the wrong account number. I asked her to correct it, but when she gave me the correct one, my loan application was declined by the bank.
I then applied to another bank and requested a new certificate addressed to the new bank. Unfortunately, she refused to provide it unless I returned the original certificate issued to the first bank. Retrieving the original certificate would take time, delaying my loan processing. The new bank agreed to consider my application even without the certificate.
However, during the verification process with my company, our HR denied issuing a salary certificate to the new bank. I am frustrated because my loan processing has been hindered. Do you think our HR's actions are reasonable? Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

Do you receive your salary through a cheque, or is your salary directly credited to your bank account in any bank? You can provide your bank passbook, which should mention the salary credit along with the details of the credited amount for your reference. Have you tried that already? If not, please attempt to check your bank passbook or bank account statement (If you visit a bank, they will issue this with a charge per page). Also, submit your Form 16 and the Income Tax acknowledged copy of Saral. This documentation should be more than sufficient compared to a Salary Certificate. All the best.

Hi boss2966, thank you for your reply. Everything is done, but the bank requires verification from my company to confirm my employment. However, the HR did not verify me as an employee of the company because she mentioned that she did not issue a salary certificate to that bank.

Dear Anahaw_buzz,
I also faced the same problem. I approached the manager of ICICI Bank in Chennai directly, and the Branch Manager sanctioned me a home loan on utmost good faith, up to his level. You should present your appointment letter issued by the company and salary credit from the company in your Savings Account. Explain the reality to the Loan Sanctioning Authority about the happenings in your company and in the HR Department regarding the salary certificate issue. Surely, this will create a good impression of you in the minds of the Bank Authorities, and your loan will be sanctioned.
