Dear Seniors,

Please advise me regarding the collection of my PF amount. I was employed at a company from September 2008 to February 2009 in Pune. Can I claim my PF amount from them? If I can, please guide me on the process of obtaining it.

I don't have my PF account number, and I don't have any pay slips from the company as my salary used to be directly credited to my bank account.

Please guide me on whom I should approach to get the amount: the company HR or the PF department?

Please contact the HR department of your last company to fill out your PF withdrawal forms No. 19 & 10C and submit them to the PF office where they are processed. Your PF number should be available on your payslip; if not, kindly request your HR department to provide you with the information.

Dear HR@HRD, Thank you very much. I will follow your advice. I shall fill out the mentioned form, take the signatures from the HR office of the last company, and submit the form to the PF office in the city. However, I don't know my PF number. I mean, if it's like a bank account, I have never filled out any form for any PF account as such, as long as I remember. So, does it mean I have a PF account or I don't have a PF account? I actually want to know before I approach the HR department because I don't want to be embarrassed if there is no PF account in my name. I want to know if by joining the company, my PF account automatically gets created. How do I find out if I have a PF account with that company or not? That was my first professional full-time, fully paid job. Thank you so much for your advice. I look forward to your response. Best wishes
