Hi Saleem,

Yes, you can withdraw your PF amount from the organization. The process will be that you need to carry your PF number or PF account details to the PF office of the concerned branch, and you can settle the amount. You can get the amount within 2 months, I hope. Otherwise, take a withdrawal form from your organization and then apply it in the office.

Thanking you,

Priyanka

Dear Salim,

You can withdraw your PF or you can transfer the entire amount of PF accumulations to the new employment you are going to take in the future. If you are at a young age and interested in working further, it is advisable to get the PF accumulations transferred, which will be highly useful to you in your future. However, the procedures are as follows:

Procedure to withdraw the PF amount:

Step 1: You can contact the local PF office and collect Form 19 and 10C, or you can download the withdrawal form in Form 19 and 10C, NSSN FORM from the website [EPFO](http://www.epfindia.nic.in).

Step 2: You can fill up all the details about yourself and fill the bank account column with your savings bank account.

Step 3: Open a savings bank account preferably with a nationalized bank - mention the account number in the forms 19 and 10C - also attach a xerox copy of the first page of the passbook (depicting the bank account number, branch location, etc.).

Step 4: You send the complete set of forms with enclosures to the previous employer for forwarding the forms to the PF office.

Step 5: You can obtain attestation in the column of attestation of employer/authorized person (if you want to send the claim straight to the PF office) from the bank manager with which you have a savings bank account.

Step 6: You can send the set of forms to the PF office in which your previous employer has accounts - by registered post.

You will get your money into your bank account within 45 days.

Procedure to transfer the PF amount:

Step 1: You can collect Form 13 from your HR/Personnel department of your present employer, or download the withdrawal form in Form 13 from the website [EPFO](http://www.epfindia.nic.in).

Step 2: You can fill up all the details about your PF account with the previous employer, name & address of the previous employer, and SIGN.

Step 3: You hand over the form in triplicate to your present employer/HR department of the present employer.

Forms can be downloaded from [www.epfindia.nic](http://www.epfindia.nic).

Hi, Dear Salim,

You cannot withdraw PF in a working condition. You can withdraw your PF when you have not worked for a minimum of 2 months in the current organization or upon leaving the job. However, you can apply for a loan, but there are only three conditions:
1) Housing Loan
2) Marriage
3) Major Operation or Surgery.

Ms. Priyanka, you are wrong. You cannot withdraw your PF while in service. You can withdraw it only after resignation and relieving or after retirement. You can only get a portion of your PF accumulations as a loan/advance for specific purposes only and only if you are able to submit all the documents and proofs asked for by PF officials.

I want to know if you are still continuing in service or if you have resigned from the organization. If you are still in service, you can get a loan from your PF amount because you have completed 5 years in that organization (the amount should vary depending on the type of loan you apply for - refer to the EPF website for more information on this issue). If you have resigned from that organization, you can get your PF amount by filling out Form 19 & 10C.
