Could you please give me the format of the increment letter. Do we have to be careful about the legal aspects while drafting an increment letter. What legal repercursion it can have.

Hina,
I prefer Lavena's letter. The other two can be embarrasing and place your Company in great difficulty if you have to discipline or dismiss the employee for any reason in the near future.
Annual increments are meant to reward employees for the increase in their experience not necessarily for good performance though performance plays a part in determining the size of the increment.
