Is it necessary to prepare two original copies of an appointment letter? Is it acceptable if we prepare one original and photocopy it? The original is given to the employee, and the photocopy is retained by the company. Kindly elaborate with the name of the act or rule which supports the fact.

Dear Brishti,

As far as I understand, an appointment letter is a piece of agreement between two entities, i.e., the employer (company) and the employee. Therefore, both entities must have original copies of the agreement. It is strategically essential and important for both parties.

Best Regards!
