Dear Khushboo,

Time management is an ocean, and to be specific, the interviewer would have meant how you would spend your time in the factory. For this, you need to have a list of things to do and plan your activities. Allocate time for identifying training needs, addressing grievances, conducting safety audits, etc.

Thank you.

TimeMate, etc., are attendance management tools. Time management has another aspect, which is related to the 'optimum utilization of the available time for completion of the targeted work.' You need to plan the schedule - long term and short term - so as to effectively complete the job at hand within the stipulated time, keeping margins for unplanned exigencies and allowances for revision or rectification of inadvertent errors.
