Hi All,
Can you please clarify if an employee is asked to come for work on a weekly holiday, such as Sunday, if it's a national holiday too? What will be the compensation for him in the form of wages, as well as compensatory offs?
Regards,
Lakshmi

Lakshmi, If a national holiday falls on Sunday there won’t be any sought of Compensation or Compensation Off for him/her. :(

Hi Lakshmi,
It happens everywhere. There should be compensatory time off without additional wages. Maybe the company will provide you with free lunch and consider your willingness to work on holidays as a positive aspect of your profile. Look at it positively when your appraisal comes up or when you are due for a promotion.
