Dear Dinesh, Thanks for the information provided by you. I would like to have the criteria or guidelines on what all skills should be more emphasized to groom the trainees well?

Dear Deepti,
The reply will differ from one industry to another and one company to another. Training of the trainees will start based on the challenges your industry, in general, and your particular company is facing. Your induction training will play a significant role in grooming the trainees.
To groom the trainees effectively, you need to train them on business etiquette, workplace etiquette, organizational culture, communication concepts, interpersonal skills, and how to be a team player, among other skills. Additionally, you can create a career plan for each trainee and provide training on career planning.
However, all these skills may remain superficial or hollow without a monitoring mechanism that ensures knowledge is transformed into skills and those skills are continually enhanced. This is where your mentoring program comes into the picture.
