Given the understanding and experience of the drift between Recruitment and HR, and the evolution of Staffing as a key support function, new-age recruiting professionals planning a career in the same might need to have a holistic approach and skills encompassing Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Attrition Management.

Although each of these concepts is different and complex in approach, this is one sure way to provide a compelling value proposition to the management and stakeholders.

With more and more Indian companies acquiring small and medium-scale firms across the globe, the emphasis will now be on Talent Integration Specialists. They will work through cultures to retain and develop the global talent pool, thereby bringing efficiency to Talent Management as a function.

Integrating these sub-functions may not be easy; however, these skills will need to be possessed by the Talent Management Professional (Today's Talent Acquirer) within a year or two.

I look forward to your comments.
