Dear All,
A small querry is in mind that when somebody puts in his/her resignation in todays date and he/she is not reporting on duty for the past 5 days, what would be the language of the acceptance of resignation. Can resignation be accepted in todays date or it can be accepted by date of his last working?
Thanks

Have read the threat today so don't know how relevant it will be.
If employee is resigning on paper on today's date , resignation will be from today's date.
The previous dates will be treated as abscent. It is better to take the resignation from past date, so communicate the same to the employee and write in letter head we accepting the resignation from today date. Hand over one copy to the employee get it signed follow the exit interview if required.
