Hi bharati,
The revison in Maternity act you are talking about is for female govt. employees only.this provision was provided initially by haryana govt. to their staff but noe as per my knowlegde it has been extended to whole govt. staff. For private sector the leaves are limited to 3 months only as no revision has been done to maternity act.

Dear member,
Maternity benefit is provided only for 84 days as per the M B Act, 1961 & not three months i.e. six weeks before & six weeks after the date of delivery. For further clarification you may also go through this Act of 1961.
With Regards,
